People are Sad These Days

Many people are sad these days. I see it on their faces when we chat. Their mouths are automatically turning downward.  I read it in posts on social media. Specific words are redacted because they’re so offensive. It’s like folks are allowing dark cloaks to wrap around them.

It doesn’t need to be that way

Jesus’s truth is always available for us. That truth comforted Stephen, the First Century Christian (as written in Acts 7) when the Jewish leaders were infuriated with him to the point of stoning him to silence.

Jesus’s truth comforted Corrie Ten Boom while during her time at the Ravensbruck concentration camp and after with the message of forgiveness.

Let Scripture Comfort You

The message and words are the same. He will be with us …

“I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”
Hebrews 13:5b

And that means forever:

And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:20b

Don’t let evil distract you:

Do not turn to the right or to the left. Turn your foot away from sin.
Proverbs 4:27

I Need to Keep My Focus

While I still see folks and their dark clouds, I know my focus needs to be on what I’m charged to do. Stay focused and share the love of Jesus with others. I’m not to change their minds. I’m not to show them the error of their ways. It’s to keep the faith, smile, and give them Jesus.

And that’s what you’re to do as well.

Thanks, Betty. Focused thoughts not only keep us on the right track, but the kindness that comes from our actions may speak life into others who are watching.

      Hugs, friend!
