Perception is Everything

Perception is everything.
Please meet Ayis Caperonis. Ayis was born in Lausanne, Switzerland with great dreams and a bright future. Yet at the age of thirteen, all dreams were dashed when a crippling brain tumor was detected.
Listen to how Ayis struggled. Hear him talk about his disappointments and weariness. It wasn’t until he began a relationship with Christ that his attitude and determination shifted. He then saw hope—he saw a possible future.


Ayris’s story—and countless stories like his—carries power. I could barely comprehend the road he traveled. Yet  he changed his world. He proved, again, that positive can come from a negative.
Each one of us has the ability to change the world around us. Ask Ayis. It wasn’t easy. It didn’t happen overnight. I can only imagine how many times he thought of quitting. Yet he continued. He focused on what God had planned for him.
Stories like this remind me that I always have a choice. For example, I can either watch the local, national, and world news—all the while wringing my hands, fretting over things I can not control—or I can choose to seek God’s hand in motion.
God is always, always bigger than our need. Maybe not as big as a “want”, but He has a plan designed specifically for each of us. You doubt that? Ask Ayis.
