Still
While I typically post on Tuesdays, I thought a Monday post was more appropriate this week.
Still … a powerful word with many meanings.
Webster offers several … devoid of or abstaining from motion is one. I get that.
Being quiet. Static. Shhh … I get that as well.
A distillery. Sure, I’ve written about them in the third book of my Ladies of the Fire series, Ladies on a Mission.
(But I digress)
I love how God uses the word still. Our God in heaven shares it with clarity in the Psalms.
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalms 46:10
In our stillness, we can find comfort and peace. We can know with confidence, that God as the Creator of all, is in control.
Can we be still
This Tuesday, decisions will be made via our country’s mid-term elections. Some people will be thrilled with the outcome while others will be devastated. My prayer for you is this … be still.
Trust God is God
Know God is still in control. His grip is sure and unwavering. Even in these times.
Even with Republicans and Democrats.
He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.
Psalm 107:29
Do your part. Vote your choices. Know the sun will still come up on in the East as it has for years.
Even on Wednesday.
Tragedies Can be Devastating
Do you feel like your world just fell apart? Are you happy … or are you facing what you never thought you’d face? Do you see consistencies … or are you all over the place? Drop me a line. I’d love to chat.
