Sharing Tuesday with John Rabins

I’m excited to bring you John Rabins’ second book, Spiritual Musings from the Headlines of a Newspaper

What You’ll find

Spiritual Musings from the Headlines of a Newspaper is a call to engage with a hostile world in truth and love, offering an understanding of who God is and what He says about things that matter. Do you sometimes feel frustrated, depressed, and hopeless by what we observe daily in our culture? Could you use better strategies for combatting the lies of the enemy that divide us as human beings? Would you like to follow Jesus more closely or, perhaps, simply want to learn to love in truth? Whatever your goal(s) for Christian growth, this book is for you.

What others say

What Others Are Saying About Spiritual Musings from the Headlines of a Newspaper:

“When you read this book by Dr. John Rabins, I’d be surprised if you do not squirm in your chair. It is both provocative, and stimulating, and talks about subjects we were taught to avoid if we want to ‘get along.’… an excellent resource to engender discussions on each of these topics.
Jerry White, Ph.D., USAF (Ret.), Int’l President Emeritus, The Navigators

“In a world increasingly marred by misinformation, confusion, and moral ambiguity, one looks for a beacon of clarity and truth. … By integrating biblical principles with everyday experiences, this book equips readers to confront the cultural lies that permeate our society and stand firm in their convictions with grace and wisdom.”
Judy McEachran, Pastor, Author, and Word Weavers President, Group 28

“… a thoughtful and bold guide for Christians seeking clarity in a world of confusion. Tackling today’s most controversial issues—such as gender identity, abortion, and entitlement mental- ity—this book is a timely resource for those wanting to stand strong in their faith while minister- ing with love and grace in a divided world.”
Susan Neal, RN, MBA, MHS, Author of 12 Ways to Age Gracefully

About the author

John Rabins hails from Colorado. After serving 25 years in the U.S. Air Force, followed by a 22-year optometry career, he now spends much of his time writing. His writing career actually began within days of his loss of home and rental property in the June 11, 2013 Black Forest fire. Unbelievably, that same day his father in California died.

These tragedies made John receptive to God’s sharing some rich life lessons that he published in 2020 as the award-winning Defined by Fire: Seven Life-Changing Lessons from Devastating Tragedy.
